Praline Pecan Crunch

1 (16 oz) package of Quaker Oat Squares cereal
2 c pecan pieces
1/2 c light corn syrup
1/2 c firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c butter (1/2 stick)
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
Heat oven to 250 degrees. Combine cereal and pecans in a 13 x 9-inch pan and set aside. Combine corn syrup, brown sugar and butter in saucepan. Heat to boil over medium heat. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and baking soda and pour over cereal mixture. Stir to coat evenly.
Bake 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes. Spread on baking sheet to cool. Break into pieces.
Makes 10 cups.
