Animal shorts Princeton energy substation; thousands w/o power

PRINCETON, Ind. -- Thousands of Duke Energy customers were in the dark and without air conditioning on the evening of Thursday, June 3.

It started about 8:15 p.m., according to WFIE Channel 14.

Duke Energy officials say an animal got into the Princeton substation, which caused the outage.  At one point, 5,244 customers were without power.

Officials said they hoped to restore power by today, Friday, June 4.
