Program Overview

Zero-Interest Loans
Kenergy assists new and expanding businesses and industries in financing job-creation projects through the Rural Utilities Service zero-interest loan program.  Minimum and maximum loan amounts are $1,000 and $740,000, respectively. 

Interest on the loan is zero percent (0%) for 10 years.  All loans must be approved by the Kenergy Board of Directors in accordance with its policy.  Also, the loan must be secured by a bank letter of credit, also approved by the Kenergy Board of Directors.

KIED Scholarships
Kenergy offers two tuition-only scholarships for the Kentucky Institute of Economic Development (KIED) to economic development professionals and community leaders.

Alliance Program
Funding is available to local Economic Development organizations employing a full-time director in one of the following counties:  Caldwell, Crittenden, Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, Hopkins, Lyon, McLean, Ohio, Union or Webster.  A semi-annual activity program report is required to receive funding.
