HENDERSON, Ky. — Larry Elder, a director for Kenergy Corp, was honored for his 15 years of service to the electric cooperative industry by the Kentucky Association of Electric Cooperatives, Inc. at its annual meeting in Louisville on November 22.
The award was presented to Elder by KAEC Chairman Eston Glover, CEO of Hopkinsville-based Pennyrile Electric Cooperative, at a breakfast meeting attended by electric cooperative leaders from across Kentucky.
"The electric utility industry is incredibly complex, and we need skilled leadership to make the right decisions for today and tomorrow," said Glover during the awards ceremony. "The members of Kentucky's electric co-ops are the beneficiaries of the education and experience that today's honorees have accrued through their years of service to their co-ops."
KAEC is the statewide service organization that represents Kentucky’s 26 not-for-profit, consumer-owned electric cooperatives that provide electric service to nearly 2 million Kentuckians in 117 of the state’s 120 counties.
