Security & Street Lights

SUBDIVISION LIGHTING
Upon petition by a percentage of the property owners, Kenergy will install street lights in subdivisions within its service area where a county-approved ordinance exists. Ideally, street lights should be installed while the subdivision is being developed, but this does not preclude established neighborhoods from having street lighting. Kenergy will calculate the cost, prorate that cost for each household and annually have that amount applied to each homeowner's property tax bill. Electric service for the lights can be underground or overhead and homeowners/ developers can select standard fixtures or decorative lights attached to attractive lamp posts.

SECURITY LIGHTS
Enjoy the security and peace of mind that come with having your property well lit. An outdoor security light automatically turns on at dusk and off at dawn, providing light only when needed and energy savings. Contact a member services representative at any Kenergy service center to have a security light installed.
