Pursuant to 807 KAR 5:011, Section 8, Kenergy Corp (“Kenergy”) hereby gives notice that it has requested that the Kentucky Public Service Commission (“Commission”) allow it to adopt a tariff for a pilot program allowing members to enroll certain eligible smart devices (such as, smart thermostats, elective vehicle chargers, smart electric water heaters, and battery energy storage systems) in a demand response program. Device eligibility is based on manufacturer terms and compatibility with Emulate API integration. Enrolled devices would be subject to control by Kenergy within defined limits during high demand or critical demand events. The program would be limited to a total of 150 devices. Participating members would be given a one-time enrollment bill credit and monthly participation bill credits in the following amounts:

The tariff will be submitted to the Commission no later than September 2, 2025. If approved by the Commission, the new tariff will become effective October 2, 2025. The terms in this notice are proposed by Kenergy, but the Commission may order a revision or terms that differs from the proposed changes contained in this notice. A person may examine Kenergy’s tariff filing, and any related documents, at (a) the Commission’s offices located at 211 Sower Boulevard, Frankfort, Kentucky 40602, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; (b) through the Commission’s website at https://psc.ky.gov; (c) Kenergy’s main office located at 6402 Old Corydon Road, Henderson, KY 42420; and (d) Kenergy’s website. Comments regarding the tariff filing may be submitted to the Commission through its website or by mail to the Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 615, Frankfort, KY 40602. Also at this mailing address, a person may submit to the Commission a timely written request for intervention establishing the grounds for the request including the status and interest of the party. If the Commission does not receive a written request for intervention within thirty (30) days of the date of this publication, the Commission may take final action on the tariff filing.
