Commercial credits extend to August
A reserve fund that has been applied to fully offset a 2014 increase in Kenergy’s wholesale power costs to the co-op’s 19 industrial members is expected to end in August. The fund’s depletion will end a credit on Kenergy bills this class of members has received since Feb. 1, 2014. Business members should expect their credits to end at the same time.
Novick returns as interim CEO
As of Monday, June 22, Sandy Novick assumed the role of Kenergy’s interim CEO. Novick retired from Kenergy in 2012 after working five years as the electric co-op’s CEO. His leadership guided Kenergy through Kentucky’s worst natural disaster – the Ice Storm of 2009. Electric cooperatives earn top scores for member satisfaction
(ARLINGTON, VA) — Members of not-for-profit electric cooperatives are more satisfied with their utility services than customers of investor-owned (IOU) or municipal utilities, according to the 2015 American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI). Touchstone Energy® cooperatives have consistently held the top ACSI ranking, receiving a score of 80 this year. IOUs and municipals scored 74 and 73 respectively. By comparison, Kenergy earned a score of 81 in 2014.
