New technology enhances service, reliability

Commercial, industrial bills to climb

Reserve funds that have been applied to fully offset a 2014 increase in Kenergy’s wholesale power costs to the co-op’s 19 industrial members is expected to end in August. The fund’s depletion will end a credit on Kenergy bills this class has received since Feb. 1, 2014. Business members should expect their credits to end at the same time. Steven Wilkey has joined Kenergy as a Member Service Representative (MSR) in the Henderson office. Wilkey, an Owensboro resident, started his new position on Monday, Dec. 8. As the title implies, MSRs assist members in various ways, including payments, meter readings and applications for new service. Three directors to be elected in 2015

Prior to Kenergy’s Annual Meeting to be held on June 9, individuals will be elected to represent District 2, 7 and 10. A ballot listing the qualified candidates in a contested district election will be mailed in May to each Kenergy member residing within the district.  Members will also have the option to vote online in 2015.

PSC adjusts rates for Big Rivers

FRANKFORT, Ky. (April 25, 2014) – The Kentucky Public Service Commission (PSC) today adjusted the revenue and rates of Big Rivers Electric Corp. to reflect the January departure from its system of the Century Aluminum smelter in Sebree.
