Kenergy selects new President, CEO

HENDERSON, Ky. — Kenergy Corp.’s Board of Directors has announced the selection of Jeff Hohn as the cooperative’s new President and CEO.

Hohn succeeds Greg Starheim, who resigned in May to work at the National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corp. Sandy Novick, who retired from Kenergy in 2012, returned as interim CEO during the board’s selection process. Novick will remain at the co-op until Hohn starts his duties on Monday, Oct. 5.

Bob White, chairman of Kenergy’s Board of Directors, said the board looks forward to working with Hohn.

“For more than 25 years, Jeff has worked at rural electric cooperatives,” White said. “He believes wholeheartedly in this business model and understands the important relationship between a cooperative and its member-owners. The Kenergy board is confident in Jeff’s experience and leadership abilities.”

Kenergy CEO tells GRADD that Kenergy is doing well

Despite "a tumultuous two years," Kenergy Corp. is performing well.
That was the overarching message Greg Starheim, Kenergy Corp's president and CEO, delivered to the Green River Area Development District board of directors and guests Wednesday.
"We're doing well in about all aspects, and we're off to a good start in 2014," Starheim said.
The nonprofit co-op returned $2.3 million to its members in 2013 from positive margins earned the previous year, he said.
