Kenergy Celebrates 25th Anniversary of Consolidation

July 1, 2024 marks 25 years since Green River Electric (organized in 1936) and Henderson-Union Electric Cooperative (organized in 1937) consolidated to become Kenergy Corp. Henderson-Union was the first electric cooperative in Kentucky to sell electricity to a member. Frank T. Street of Cardinal Farms in Henderson County received electricity from the cooperative in October 1937.
